On the afternoon of September 29, 2018, FAW Toyota CROWN " King ·Pay tribute to the classics"Xuanzang's Pilgrimage“Belt and Road” national music tour kicked off at the Wuzhen Grand Theater. In the golden season of autumn,FAW Toyota together with China National Traditional Orchestra presented an unparalleled feast for audience’s eyes and ears. show on behalf of the company.

Xuanzang's Pilgrimageis a key repertoire approved and supported by Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance. It is the world first large-scale national musical drama. The show takes history as the mirror, in form of nationalorchestra, and perfectly combines the stage and instrument performance to tell the story of Xuanzang's westbound and the past and present of Chinese music in a narrative way. This is a very in-deep expression of the music form, which is in line with the brand ideology advocated by FAW Toyota.
Xuanzang's Pilgrimagetraces the classic culture from the perspective of modern people, demonstrating the rich musical culture accumulated in China and countries along the road since ancient times. It is a cultural and artistic creation that connect the "Belt and Road" countries and reflects national strategic thinking. Classics with years of history, accumulation of strength and enthusiasm and the tribute paid to the classics. All the aforementioned qualities are in perfect harmony with the spirit promoted by the Toyota CROWN.
On the eve of the performance, Chen Xuebing, sales Director of East China Region of FAW Toyota Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. delivered a speech, saying: “Toyota with such a classic model as the CROWN, has long supported cultural and artistic creation.Xuanzang's Pilgrimagecombines traditional folk music with classic Chinese culture stories. Xuanzang’s journey to the west is a cultural story that has been circulating for thousands of years in China and has been widely regarded as a classic at home and abroad. CROWN, which is also regarded as Toyota's classic model, was
created in 1955. When first entered China’s market, CROWN showed its remarkable ability and was once appointed as the special vehicles for state guests. It was regarded as a classic for when first entered into China’s market as the luxurious vehicle. As the flagship model of Toyota, CROWN has undergone fourteen generations of innovations, all of which demonstrates regal style. It is just like Xuanzang's journey, in which he experienced eighty-one challenges and still stayed true to his original intention to promote Buddhist culture. It is the same with Toyota CROWN. Gone through all the difficulties,CROWN has now become the king and demonstrates the charm of the classics – not fading by time, but last longer and forever.
The show was led by Xi Qiang, the head of China National Traditional Orchestra and Wang Qicheng and Qiao Aili, deputy heads of the Orchestra. More than 100 people attended the show. Famous composer Jiang Ying worked as the composer, screenwriter and general director. Young conductor Cheng Hao conducted the show and famous Huqin player Tang Feng was the band's chief. Zhang Zequn, the famous host of CCTV, was invited to be the host of the show. The luxurious cast, exquisite stage design, perfect transition, superb performance and artists’ wonderful live performances delivered the unprecedented experience on national orchestra, just like the CROWN's exquisite craftsmanship brings the comfort and luxury for our customers. The audience experienced the shock of the mixture of the crossover of music and automobile.
Xuanzang's Pilgrimagehad 15 scenes and lasted for 2 hours with non-shop applause. Many people said that they wish to have more opportunities like this to experience this high-quality and shocking show.

In order to let more consumers feel the charm of CROWN, we set up the FAW Toyota all series of car model appraisal area outside the venue, equipped with special commentator to answer the on-site guest questions, so that consumers can feel the classics and enjoy the luxury by themselves.
