The overseas project team visited Mandela city at the end of May to inspect the FAW Coega Assembly Plant. The project is located within the Coega development zone of Mandela city. This city is the hometown of South Africa’s former president Nelson Mandela, one of the cleanest cities in South Africa, and former capital of the Eastern Cape Province. It is located at the Algar Cape of the Eastern Cape Province, with a population of over 1 million. It is the automotive industry center of South Africa.
